Best Shopping Mall in Singapore - Takashimaya

After lunching at Warung M Nasir Restaurant at Killney Road, we went to Takashimaya for a good cup of coffee at the Coffee Club inside Kinokuniya bookstore. For those who like Indonesia spicy and hot curry, Nasir is not a bad place to visit. Be warned first, the place has no air-con. So far i must confess that the best coffee that to my taste is in Coffee Club of Kinokuniya bookstore. Sonia likes it too. As always and not surprise that i ended leaving the bookstore bought a few books that look interesting:

1. Intelligence by OSHO
(Explore the distinction between intellect & intelligence)

2. The Psychology of Selling by Brian Tracy
(Increase your sales faster & easier than you ever thought possible)

3. Little Red Book of Sales Answers by Jeffrey Gitomer
(Gives real world answers that make sense, make sales & make money)

4. Mao Zedong by Jonathan Spence
(Captures Mao in all his paradoxical grandeur & sheds light on the radical
transformation Mao unleashed that still reverberates in China today)

5. State Building by Francis Fukuyama
(Examine the governance & world order in the 21st century for nation state
building.)

6. The Valkyries by Paulo Coelho
(Explore one man's battle with self-doubt and fear, as well as two people
striving to understand one another through adversity.)

7. Fooled by Randomness by Nassim Nicholas Taleb
(How we perceive luck in our personal & professional experiences in which luck is
mistaken for skill.)

I write what i think of each book once i have read them.
Our First Movie Night

We bought a sofa bed recently and decided that we will have a movie night once a week. This allows me to watch a movie with Grace & Samuel together, with all of us lying comfortably watching the movie in a big plasma screen. Last night we had our 1st movie night. Not without some disagreement initially, we decided to watch the movie Narnia. Not surprisingly both of them were more excited with the movie than I was - insisted that i must watch the last part of the movie and i must not allow to hold or press my treo. With Samuel's regular comments here and there, I can tell they must have watched the movie many times before. Not too bad for me as it was my first seeing of the movie. I look forward to next week already - i hope i will have a chance to choose the movie title.
